Frequently Asked Questions

  • For newcomers, we recommend beginning with the ALIGN class, designed to introduce foundational reformer movements with a focus on alignment and posture. It's suitable for gaining confidence before progressing to more challenging classes like DYNAMIC and JUMP.

  • Your introductory offer activates upon booking your first class, granting you 14 days to explore our range of classes. If the system is prompting for payment, it may mean that you’ve booked in your first class and then tried to book another class prior to your activation date.

  • To ensure a seamless booking experience, SALT uses the MINDBODY online booking system. Though you can also use our Salt Pilates Studio App, available free in your app store, for hassle-free class bookings, rescheduling, and managing your account on the go.

  • For first-timers, we kindly ask you to arrive 10 minutes early to familiarise yourself with our studio and reformer beds. Our instructors will be here to welcome you, give you a tour, and ensure you feel comfortably prepared and ready.

  • Wear comfortable gym clothes. Grip socks are optional, bare feet are also acceptable.

  • At SALT, we believe in personalised attention, which is why we limit our class sizes to a maximum of 8 clients. This intimate setting ensures our instructors can closely assist each individual, providing a tailored and focused experience that caters to everyone's skill level.

  • Classes at SALT require a minimum of 2 participants to proceed. In the event of a cancellation, which may occur up to 2-3 hours before the class start time, we will notify you via text or email. This policy helps us manage our schedule efficiently while minimising inconvenience to our clients.

  • Our waitlists move quickly. So you'll be notified via text or email if you’ve been added to a class. Please confirm your attendance or cancel as soon as possible to ensure the spot can be offered to others if needed.

    Please note: if you're moved from the waitlist to a class, our system automatically assumes you'll attend. Failing to respond or not showing up will result in you forfeiting your session.

  • Please cancel your class more than 5 hours in advance to avoid losing your session. This ensures fairness and allows waitlisted clients to fill available spots.

    Package Cancellations: Missing the 5-hour cancellation window means you will forfeit the class.

    Membership Cancellations: Cancelling after the 5-hour deadline results in forfeiting the class and incurring a $10 late cancellation fee from your account.

    Membership No Shows: Not attending your booked class without cancellation leads to forfeiting the class and a $20 no-show fee being deducted from your account.

  • Group classes are suitable for up to 16 weeks of pregnancy. Afterward, we recommend private sessions. For more details, please email us at hello@saltpilatesstudio.com.au.

  • Participants must be 16 years or older for group classes.

  • The suitability of Pilates depends on your injury's severity and recovery progress. While we can often adapt exercises in our group classes to accommodate different needs, some situations may require private sessions for a more tailored approach.   • Our studio is equipped with complimentary towels, drinking water, and a small changing area for your convenience. Please note that we do not offer shower facilities.

  • SALT is conveniently located with access to parking on Carlisle and Westbury Streets. Public transport options include a 2-minute walk from Balaclava Train Station and a 1-2-minute walk from the nearest tram stop on Carlisle Street. For those driving, additional parking is available at Coles on Carlisle Street, offering 2-hour parking spaces.

Membership Terms & Conditions

2-Class & 3-Class Per Week Memberships:

  • Duration: 3-month minimum contract.

  • Billing: Recurring autopay weekly from your nominated account, starting from the purchase date.

  • Class Week: Starts on the day of your first payment (e.g., Wednesday to Tuesday).

  • Rollover: Classes do not carry over to the next week.

  • Extra Classes: Charged at $25 each if you exceed your weekly limit, automatically billed to your account.

  • Cancellation Fees: $10 late cancellation fee plus class forfeiture for cancellations past the 5-hour deadline.

  • No Shows: Incurs a $20 fee plus class forfeiture.

  • Late Payment: A $5 daily fee for each day a payment is late.

Unlimited Memberships:

  • No Shows: Incurs a $20 fee plus class forfeiture.

  • Late Payment: A $5 daily fee for each day a payment is late.
